On my Way to the Altar: A Sto.Niño de Tondo Visit

When ever I have a chance to visit Sto. Niño de Tondo Parish, I always make sure that I will walk my way to the altar, a replica of Sto. Nino de Cebu, which is located at the upper level of the said church where one can see the replica closer and make a wish!

It is just some few steps, but it’ll take you some minutes, depending on the number of visitors who like to knock on the altar behind the bars and make a wish for themselves and for their families.

They say that this Señor Sto. Niño answers one’s wishes, no wonder a lot of his devotees really took time in lining up and following the trail to the altar.

Here are some of the photos that I took on my way to the altar:

Feast of Sto. Niño de Tondo 2011

As the whole country focuses its attention to the Queen City of the South , Cebu, as they celebrate there the Sinulog Festival in respect to the little Jesus – Sto. Niño – here in Metro Manila, we, the people from Tondo, Manila, also give praise and thanks to our little patron who’s been so good to us all these year.

Yes, look here as I share to all of you the Feast of Sto. Niño de Tondo!

Just like in Cebu, every third Sunday of January, people from Manila gather at Sto. Niño de Tondo Parish to celebrate and give thanks for all the blessings and miracles that the little Jesus has given to us. On the streets of Tondo, you’ll see dances and praises of different local bands chanting “Viva, Viva, Sto. Niño!”

Maxims: A Peep at this “Six-Star Hotel”

Maxims is said to be a six-star hotel, which is a first in the Philippines. Located at Resorts World Manila in New Port, Pasay City, this 170 all-suite hotel and casino is now listed in my Hotels I Wanna Stay In.

Though, I’m not that sure how this hotel was considered a six-star hotel, I had a great time peeping in two of their suites and enjoying the amenities that one can get by staying in here. So, oh, yes, this is kind of an exclusive scoop here at Rammmpa! Hehehe.

Camayan Beach Resort and Hotel

If you are planning for simple road trip or some quick beach bumming but too tire to drive down to the southern part of Luzon, why not head north for a change, take NLEX and SCTEX roads and go straight to Subic? That's where I and 5 of my closest friends spent our Halloween. Hehe. (You can also book Camayan Beach Resort in Subic, Zambales with Traveloka.)

Since, we were kinda used to unplanned getaways, our crazy feet and tight budget brought us, during the Halloween weekend, tot Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) where we spent an afternoon of beach bumming and skin tanning. Hahaha! (as if there's I can still tan my tone. LOL)

It was our first time to visit SBMA on our own, so we were kinda lost and had no idea where to stay. Thank God, that SBMA is really one of the best place near Manila where street signs are there to help you. And along the winding roads of SBMA, we saw the Camayan Beach Resort and Hotel sign and that's when we decided to go straight there.

To my surprise, Camayan Beach Resort and Hotel is just some minutes drive past Zoobic Safari and just some few steps from Ocean Adventure.

Located just around the area of Ocean Adventure, this simple and very nice hotel-resort was formerly known at the Miracle Beach. And miracle as it may seemed that we have found it, this was where we spent a delightful Halloween Get-Together.

ETON Centris: New Home of SIDCOR Sunday Market

If you can’t find the Sunday Market that you used to love at the Lung Center in East Avenue, Quezon City, don’t pout, because they just moved to a better and bigger venue. Shop ‘til you drop at SIDCOR’s Sunday Market at the new heart of Quezon City, the ETON Centris, Centris Walk.

If you don’t have any plans this coming beautiful Sunday morning, well, why not head to Centris Walk with your family or friends. They will definitely enjoy their Sunday morning with SIDCOR’s wide variety of goodies that they can buy in a very friendly price. Who knows, you can even make “tawad” at the price that you want! Hehehe. So, good luck!

Last Sunday, I was lucky to be there to witness their first Sunday at Centris Walk. And oh, boy! The place was just so lovely!

Makati Lights Up for Holidays 2010!

It is the most wonderful time of the year again, and as part of their most joyous and heart-warming celebration, Makati City in cooperation with Ayala Land lighted up the three main avenues of Makati Central Business District for Yuletide 2010!

I was there when the switching on ceremony happened, and I together with thousands of spectators from different walks of life got the first glimpse of the wonderfully adorned avenues of Ayala, Makati and Paseo de Roxas.

Safari Night at Zoobic Safari

I and 4 of close friends had a Halloween celebration at Subic last weekend. And since we're not kids anymore, we celebrated it a day before. Hehehe.

Our destination... Zoobic Safari! Wee!

We learned that Zoobic Safari will be having their first-ever Night Safari, so we thought that spending a night with some scary, eye-glistening-in-the-dark animals can be more scary than those ghost stories, so with our bags all packed, we all headed to Subic!

According to their posters, Night Safari trips will start at around 5pm, and because we arrived there 30 minutes earlier, we spent some of our time looking at some attraction around the receiving area and took some pictures of them.
