Kamay Ni Hesus: Lucban's Holy Week Destination

Just in case you have no plans of going out far this Holy Week, but still wanted to see the country in a different way - a church and healing center in Lucban, Province of Quezon has been becoming a popular Holy Week destination since it was opened to the public in 2004. Fr. Joey A. Faller and some of his friends are behind this majestic Risen Christ grotto that you can only see at Kamay ni Hesus Healing Church.

I've been eyeing to visit this place since I heard of its miraculous works and truly inspiring story, and luckily, last year, I finally had the chance not only to see but do the Station of the Cross or Via Crucis by climbing its 305-step Via Dolorosa Grotto, where the world's 3rd tallest Risen Christ is standing. It is 50 feet in height, to be exact - and overseeing almost the whole lot of Lucban and its neighboring cities and municipalities.

But before we proceed to the Grotto, let me take you first to the other places of interests that you could find here inside Kamay ni Hesus Healing Church.

Currently, there are about 10 things you could check out inside Kamay ni Hesus. There's the Marian Park, which will welcome you here in Kamay ni Hesus Healing Church. On the right side of the sanctuary is another spot devoted to Mother Mary, the Luklukan ni Maria. This place showcases the Mysteries of the Holy Rosary hence the giant replica of the Mother Mary is standing in the middle.

Kids will definitely find Noah's Ark House of Prayer stunning and interesting at the same time. But don't be confused, the ark doesn't house animals but instead, it is designed for recollections, closed door retreats and seminars for the families in need of spiritual and marital renewal.Though of course, in front of the ark is the animal themed playground, which kids can enjoy.

Following the grandeur of Noah's Ark is the Garden of Eden. This  place is filled with statues of Adam and Eve sharing the first story of man and God.

As for those who love angels, there's the Angel's Hill, which offers a nice garden filled with angels with different looks and poses.

For indoor activities, Kamay ni Hesus Healing Church shares The Gallery of Saints, which displays different kinds of saints from all over the world and The Murals, which is basically displayed inside the Kamay ni Hesus Healing Church and serves as the altar.

Going back to the Grotto, if you are not into hiking, I think it'll probably take an hour or an hour and a half before you reach the top. Don't worry, it wasn't that too tiring. Because since the Station of the Cross is along the plight of stairs, you will have your chance to breath in another set of good air as you pause to pray in every station.

I personally love the idea of this whole place. It took pilgrim to a new height and in a modern way. The life-size replicas of the characters of the Station of the Cross are really stunning and placed interestingly. It feels like I am part of the whole Passion of Christ.

One down side probably of doing Station of the Cross here in Kamay ni Hesus Healing Church is the distraction brought about by the beauty of the scenery behind everyone. If you lose all your breath climbing up the stairs,  looking at this breathtaking view will definitely take more of your precious breath, so don't tell me I didn't warn you! Hihihi.

Finishing the Station of the Cross and reaching the top of the Grotto here in Kamay ni Hesus Healing Church was a dream com true to me. Special thanks to my Fleishman-Hillard Manila friends for bringing me here and sharing me this magnificent moment, which will surely treasured forever.

May this give you an idea on what to do this Holy Week!
Advance Happy Easter to all!
